Picking Figs with Farmer Joe
Picking figs with Farmer Joe on @loveislovefarm this past week was a lot of fun! Figs are a pretty cool fruit in that it has flowers that bloom on the inside of the actual fruit and needs a special wasp to crawl inside the fruit to pollinate the tiny flowers. Growing up all I knew about figs came from the fig newton snack but once I tasted the real thing I was hooked. Candied figs with cinnamon and sugar are out of this world!
